Try this easy ground beef sandwich recipe and still get that great bar-be-que flavor.
Barbecue Flavored Ground Beef Sandwiches
1 pound beef, ground
1 tablespoon shortening **
1 cup onion, finely chopped
1 cup bell pepper, green, finely chopped
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon mustard, prepared
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon cloves, ground
Brown meat in shortening slowly until crumbly. Combine remaining ingredients and add to meat. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes. Serve on toasted hamburger buns or rolls.
